Malavika Rajkumar took part in a panel discussion titled, ‘Introducing the UNESCO Global NGO Repository on AI Ethics: Strengthening the Role of Civil Society’ on 14 December 2023. The panel was organized by UNESCO’s Bioethics and Ethics of Science and Technology Section, in collaboration with Achim Rosemann from the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence, Cambridge, UK. The panel discussion was a part of UNESCO'S AI and Youth Online Forum.

The panel facilitated a structured discussion to explore possibilities for NGOs to contribute to the collaborative implementation of UNESCO’s evolving work on AI ethics, and the governance and public debate of AI at a more general level.

Besides Malavika, Michel Souza, Derechos Digitales, Santiago De Chile, Chile; Marc Rotenberg, Centre for AI and Digital Policy, Washington DC, USA; and Rachel Adams (TBC), Research ICT Africa, took part in the discussion.
